The presenter spends a year working with the team of engineers who have been commissioned to rebuild the most famous steam engine in the world. Starting in February, Robson is given the task of cutting off the front end of the Scotsman and welding on a whole piece, and sets out to Durham, where he discovers how the invention of the steam engine helped to change the world. After a year in the workshop, the iconic train is ready for its first test run, and Robson realises a lifelong dream and gets to ride on the footplate as it sets off.

Peter Green is regarded by some fans as the greatest white blues guitarist ever, Eric Clapton notwithstanding. Born Peter Greenbaum but calling himself Peter Green by age 15, he grew up in London's working-class East End. Green's early musical influences were Hank Marvin of the Shadows, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Freddie King, and traditional Jewish music. He originally played bass before being invited in 1966 by keyboardist Peter Bardens to play lead in the Peter B's, whose drummer was a lanky chap named Mick Fleetwood…

While it's no secret that guitar king Peter Green is obsessed with Robert Johnson, having done two previous recordings of his music, this box is in essence something else. There are three CDs included here, one of which is Hot Foot Powder, the first album by the Peter Green Splinter Group, which included guest performances from the likes of Otis Rush, Honeyboy Edwards, Dr. John, Hubert Sumlin, and Joe Louis Walker, among others. The second disc by the band, The Robert Johnson Songbook, featured mainly the Green band, though Free/Bad Company vocalist Paul Rodgers guests on a tune.

This is the first studio album by Peter Green's Splinter Group to include new, original compositions by the band members –- excepting, however, Peter Green himself. There is a superb update of his 1979 tune "Tribal Dance", and an instrumental rendition of his Fleetwood Mac era hit "Man of the World".

It's hard to believe that it's been forty-five years since Peter Green formed Fleetwood Mac after leaving John Mayall's Bluesbreakers where he served as Eric Clapton's replacement in 1966. During and since that time, Green has made a reputation for himself as a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and is considered by many to be "the best white blues guitarist ever". In 1996, Green formed The Peter Green Splinter Group and has 10 albums to its credit. In 2001, Peter and the band recorded Blues Don't Change and, until now, it was only sold at their shows and through their website.

Hot Foot Powder is an album by the British blues band the Peter Green Splinter Group, led by Peter Green. Released in 2000, this was their fifth album. Green was the founder of Fleetwood Mac and a member of that group from 1967–70, before a sporadic solo career during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
