Originally formed in 1969 by Vincent Crane, when the UK progressive rock scene was exploding, Atomic Rooster were one of the great keyboard driven bands of the time. Despite numerous line-up changes featuring such luminaries as Carl Palmer and John Cann, Atomic Rooster found success in 1971 with "Tomorrow Night" and "The Devil's Answer." This rare footage comes from the 1972 incarnation of the band featuring ex-Colosseum vocalist Chris Farlowe and still has a fantastic intensity in its performance. Enjoy again this lost treasure from the vaults.

Rare Deep Purple performing for the TV cameras in Europe during the early seventies. Included here are the songs that propelled the band to greatness. Also featured are the earliest known recordings of the classic Mark II line up of Blackmore, Lord, Paice, Gillan and Glover. This is Deep Purple putting new material through it's paces that would ultimately surface on the legendary first album, 'Deep Purple in Rock', including the earliest versions of the all time classics 'Speed King' and 'Child in Time'. A unique feature of the material is the time and space allocated to Ritchie Blackmore to stretch out and demonstrate the amazing virtuoso technique.

Decca was a fairly wide-ranging label whose trademark sound was a strain of commercially palpable hillbilly pop perfected by producer (and, beginning in 1958, label head) Owen Bradley. These three discs offer an assortment of stars (Patsy Cline, Buddy Holly, Bill Monroe, Loretta Lynn), subordinates, and the uncelebrated. The latter, in fact, are what makes this box stand out. A great deal of the fun comes from antiquated time pieces like Johnny Wright's "Hello Vietnam" ("I hope theworld will come to learn/That fires we don't put out will bigger burn") or that master of the hayseed soliloquy Red Sovine's "If Jesus Came to Your House" ("Would you have to change your clothes before you let him in?/Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they'd been?"). Overall, From The Vaults serves as an evocative sampler of what a rural jukebox was playing when Gunsmoke ruled the tube.

Boca 45 (Scott Hendy) immersed himself in all things Hip Hop from a young age and has been unleashing productions upon the world for the last 20 years under his various guises. Kicking things off as part of Bristol's now legendary Purple Penguin he then went on to form Dynamo Productions with Portishead's acclaimed resident Dj, Andy Smith. The duo found a new place musically, fusing the best elements of Hip Hop, Funk and Beats and it was no surprise when they picked up a residency at Fabric Live and found themselves taking their new sound across the globe. Hot on the heels of Dynamo Productions' great success, the debut Boca 45 Lp was delivered for Manchester's Grand Central Records to huge acclaim.

The budget-priced From the Vaults collects ten tracks Tom Jones recorded over the years, but for one reason or another never released. It's hard to see why these stayed in the vaults – there may be no great lost treasures here, but much of this collection is certainly as good as most of his album tracks. There are a number of weak moments, to be sure (several tracks, such as "Standing Invitation" and "Shady Business," make no impression whatsoever), but covers of Dylan's "I Believe In You" and Chuck Berry's "Memphis, Tennessee" are reason enough for hardcore fans to pick up this collection.
