Roy Buchanan IN THE BEGINNING (1974) MP3, CBR 256  Music

Judging from the response, you seem to like the ol' boy. No point in stopping now, then !!! I have quite a few CDs, and although there's been a recent "flood" in blues newsgroups with mainly his latest stuff (Alligator, etc) I'd rather upload his earlier recordings - personal favorites. Stay tuned, First & Second album coming next...

Roy Buchanan LIVE in JAPAN (1977) Mp3 (Lame, 160 CBR)  Music

Posted by akas at Jan. 1, 2006

Years ago, when I first heard of Roy Buchanan, it was from a chewed-up tape, a "collection" (analog warez?? ;-)) recorded from a friend's tapes & vinyl stuff... For years I searched for that exact rendition of "Hey, Joe" that had left me ecstatic, but the album was extremely rare and only recently, in 2004, I bought an (official) CD reissue of the '77 Buchanan classic "Live in Japan" - the original was from Polydor, Japan !!! Following lowcostmusic's excellent post of Live Stock http://avaxhome.ws/music/2005/12/31/roy_buchanan/ here are some of the late guitarist's finest moments EVER recorded in Mp3 (Lame, CBR, 160 kbps)

Led Zeppelin, III - 1970 - Mp3 Lame 192 CBR  Music

Posted by akas at Dec. 15, 2005

Allmusic.com says about the 1970 prelude to maybe the most important rock album of the 20th century (talking about IV, coming tomorrow): On their first two albums, Led Zeppelin unleashed a relentless barrage of heavy blues and rockabilly riffs, but Led Zeppelin III provided the band with the necessary room to grow musically. While there are still a handful of metallic rockers, III is built on a folky, acoustic foundation that gives the music extra depth.

Led Zeppelin, I - 1969 - Mp3 Lame 192 CBR  Music

With tremendous respect towards the music "pillars" of this small community (nagiants, bully, alexpal's Jethro posts, alexjx, opfesoft and the rest of the Santana gang) YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO LED on this site! Shame, shame!!! I'm starting a series of Zeppelin posts in chronological order, from '69 onwards, and the way my upload is developing, I'd say I could go an album daily.
All CD-rips 192 kbps CBR Lame-encoded.
Please excuse my inability to provide my own scans at the moment, all covers are "borrowed" from www.zeppelinart.com , an incredible site for Zep fans.

Masterminded by producer, arranger, programmer, and multi-instrumentalist Rick "R.K." Kelly, Soul Ballet mixes cool, smooth contemporary jazz with pulsating electronic beats and a surprisingly dark, moody atmosphere. Kelly is occasionally joined by a live rhythm section, as well as a series of guest vocalists (whose ranks have included Stefani, Annika, and Billy Valentine), but for the most part, it's his show. Soul Ballet's albums include the eponymous debut from 1996, 1998's Trip the Night Fantastic, and 2000's Vibe Cinema.

ARMIK : Piano Nights : 2004 : CBR-192KBps  Music

Posted by dibutil at Aug. 5, 2005

Piano Nights is Armik's first ever piano project. It is a deft treatment of ten original songs that spotlight his ability to devise amazing piano melodies to accompany his internationally renowned guitar virtuosity. The title track is a bossa nova that has the feeling of choreography by being both lyrical and catering to the dancing impulse. Armik layers the moods throughout this excellent set with beautiful solos and his flair for fusing emotional melodic fragments with intense rhythmic timing.

The music is nice... and yes, it is Armik!
Ripped by WinAmp, CBR-192KBps, quality setting - Very High.
