French TV is a Louisville, Kentucky based progressive rock band that has been in existence since 1983. Over the years, members have come and gone, but founder, bassist and main composer Mike Sary continues to drag the band into the next millennium. The band deftly nod to prog-masters like National Health, Soft Machine, Zappa, Brudford, Brand X, Happy the Man, and Samla Mammas Manna, among others. The history of French TV is complex, filled with lineup changes, missed opportunities, delays, and disillusions. And yet, a growing body of work testifies to one man's sagacity and stubbornness. Blending elements of progressive rock, fusion, cartoon music, and Rock in Opposition (RIO), the music of his group has been described as being "simultaneously hilarious and highly challenging, making it one of the most original American prog rock outfits."

Quiet Moments (2006). A still water surface. A reflection of a lotus flower. Inner peace and wellbeing that spreads as happiness to all parts of the body. Thoughts becoming quiet, and the mind becoming peaceful giving room for overview and wisdom. Inner peace. A distant flute calling from far away. Music that gives room for you to be yourself. A quiet, happy moment - here and now…

Florian Fricke was born by Lake Constance in 1944. From 1959 till 1963 he studied music in Munich, where he was a pupil of Rudolph Hindemith (Paul Hindemith's brother). At the age of 25 he became acquainted with the Moog synthsizer which leads him to form his band Popol Vuh. This name and inspiration come from the holy book of Guatemala's Quiche Indians. Historically, Popol Vuh's "Affestunde" (1970) is the first experimental rock release entirely built around the Moog Synthesiser (with the add of percussions to provide a mystical flavour)…

Secret Oyster became somewhat of a super group when members of Burnin Red Ivanhoe, Coronarias Dans and Hurdy Gurdy formed this unit. By the end of Burnin Red Ivanhoe's career (that spawned seven years), Karsten Vogel started forming a new band taking along with him BRI's drummer Thrige and often jazz-partner bassist Vinding with him. Knowing from the Danish circuit guitarist Claus Bohling, he enticed him into the band that took its name from a track from BRI's second album Secret Oysters Service. The last to join was keyboardist Knudsen, who had never played an electric instrument prior to entering this outfit, but was playing in a piano avant-garde trio…

Beyond the Horizon (2005). Beyond the Horizon there is a mystical world, where one's imagination is the only limit…, is how the visual concept for the leading title is explained by its composer. Patrick has been inspired by his brother, a well respected Spiritual Healer and Reiki Master, and brings tracks to invoke memories or suggestions of warm tropical beaches (Sunrise in Paradise), discoveries of awe and wonder (Secret Temple), or safe and womb-like states of being (Sanctuary and Revelation), to ensure the listener 'travels' along with the mood and tone of the album. Enjoy this fusion of keyboard, guitar (classical/bass/electric), synthesizer and samples, drums and loops, from a passionate artist, composing beyond the music and in tune with the spiritual life…

Murcof was founded in early 2001 as a solo project of Fernando Corona in Tijuana, México. Murcof experiments with minimalistic electronic and classical music, exploring how digital precision and acoustic warmth can complement each other. The music is intended to reflect a digitalized way of interacting with the world, with each other and ourselves. It is meant to remind us that the end user will always be human, and that technology is a tool of expression and not an end in itself.
Murcof's music is sparse, minimalist, sample-based electronica. A key element is the complex, and sometimes abstract, glitchy electronic percussion…
