One of the great lost treasures of australian 70’s music. Although Autumn began as a bubblegum band in the late-60’s, the early-70’s found them, after various line-up changes, a markedly different band. With lush harmonies, Beatlesque arrangements and a great batch of songs that ranged from breezy pop to progressive rock (as well as the the seven minute orchestral extravaganza: ‘Kill My World’), Comes… Autumn showed a mature and accomplished band that belied both their age and their beginnings. Features the singles ‘Falling’, and ‘Goblin’s Gamble’ plus 5 bonus tracks: including the rare final single ‘Just Couldn’t Believe It’, a spirited cover of The Beatles’ ‘Day Tripper’ and previously unreleased demos. Deluxe reissue is packaged in a 6 panel digi-pak. It has been remastered by Gil Matthews. Liner notes featuring quotes from a recent interview with lead singer Tony Romeril and a 24 page booklet filled with rare photos, posters.

With her sleek bob haircut (usually with a flower placed just so), vintage fashion sense, strikingly beautiful looks and artfully customized ukulele, Janet Klein might seem at first to be a simple novelty act, a 21st-century hipster "ironically" recreating the subtly naughty looks of a fin-de-siecle French postcard. Then she opens her mouth to sing. There's no Betty Boop hiccups or Mae West-style brassiness in her charmingly original voice. And when she starts to play her ukulele, it's clear that this oft-ridiculed cousin of the guitar is neither prop nor gimmick, but a delightful and under-utilized musical instrument. Bearing an ever-expanding repertoire of, as she puts it, "obscure, lovely and naughty songs from the 1910's , 20's and 30's," Janet Klein is a musical archeologist hiding in the body of an F. Scott Fitzgerald heroine.

Though Broken Bells featured two of the bigger names in indie and alternative music – the Shins' singer/guitarist James Mercer and producer/multi-instrumentalist Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse – the duo managed to keep their project secret for a relatively long time. The pair were inspired to collaborate when they met at 2004's Roskilde music festival in Denmark, where they discovered they were fans of each other's work. However, they didn't start writing and recording together as a band until March 2008, when Mercer holed up in Burton's home studio in Los Angeles. The duo took a different approach to their work together than they had with their other projects: Burton avoided the sample-heavy style he used on The Grey Album and Beck's Modern Guilt, and played only live instruments, while Mercer broadened his vocal style to include falsettos and deeper registers. Mercer and Burton announced they were Broken Bells in fall 2009, and late that year they released their debut single, "The High Road." Their self-titled debut album arrived in spring 2010.

Formed in 2009 as a solo vehicle for Sydney-based singer/songwriter Dave Hosking, Boy & Bear specializes in evocative and heartfelt indie folk-rock in the vein of contemporaries like Fleet Foxes, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Mumford & Sons. Rounded out by guitarist Killian Gavin, bass player Dave Symes, and brothers Tim (drums) and Jon Hart (mandolin, keyboards), the Aussie quintet inked a record deal with Island Records on the strength of its independently released first single, "Mexican Mavis." The group's debut EP, With Emperor Antarctica, dropped in early 2010, followed in 2011 by Boy & Bear's debut long-player, Moonfire, which went platinum in their native Australia. The band's sophomore outing, 2013's Harlequin Dream, would go gold.

Clogs are four classical musicians hailing from Australia and the United States. Featuring viola, classical guitar, bassoon, and percussion, they scrawl the folk sounds of India and the Jewish Diaspora atop lessons learned from minimalism, ambient music, and rock. The New Yorker writes that, "fans of Sigur Ros, the Rachel's, and other post-rock ensembles who know how to listen in respectful silence will have no trouble appreciating the softly evocative compositions." Philadelphia City Paper says "few new CDs in any genre will do as much to challenge the way you listen to music."…

Bosch's With You were a Russian instrumental post-rock band, formed in Moscow in 2004. Conceived initially as a solo-project of Dima T. Pilot (1980-2009), guitarist and founder of the noise-rock band Pilots Up In Ssmoke (active from 1999 through 2006), that project soon grew into a four-piece band know for its charming and intriguing stage performances. From 2004 through 2009, Bosch's With You produced 8 albums in total including vinyl-only LP for the US-based KNVBI Records and 3”EP for Chat Blanc Records from Canada. In their years, Bosch's With You went through several personnel changes, though the creative core of guitarists Dima T. Pilot and Andrei B. remained relevant and meaningful. This is well structured and rich in textures post-rock with moody melodic lines, soft intelligent rhythmics, and lots of organic and found noises.

With his distinctive melange of analogue and digital synthesisers, acoustic instrumentation and highly imaginative soundscaping, Steve Roach is a giant in modern ambient and one of the most respected electronic musicians in the world. He's been noted for the deep inspiration he draws from the European electronic tradition, and you can certainly hear the legacy of German psychedelic electronica and spacemusic throughout his work; sometimes not in melody, but certainly in its atmosphere and large, reverberant spaces. Another major source of inspiration for Roach is desert wilderness, including the starkly beautiful deserts and wide open spaces of his Arizona home which continue to color his music to this day. After four decades of recording, Steve Roach's well of inspiration remains as deep as ever…

Hearing the expertly constructed and deeply sensitive post-classical pieces featured on "Slumber Tides" (2006) it is difficult to comprehend that the musician is only a mere 18 years of age. Harking from the boredom filled lands of Greater Surrey in England, Haines quickly tired of school life and found himself immersed in music, and in a move indicative of the current trend of our disillusioned youth, became obsessed with the intrigue of experimental sound. Travelling through Europe whenever he could and sleeping on the floors of musicians he would contact by email he quickly built up a network of friends, most importantly in Oslo, Norway where he spent time with Deaf Center's Erik Skodvin (who also runs the Miasmah imprint)…
