The 3rd version was released in 1995 by EMI and the title changed to AC/DC Boom Box and was repackaged in a box that resembles a wooden box with the AC/DC Live 2 CD added to make a 16 CD box. Yours will probably be the EMI box or the FMR box as thay are the only ones that have the lyrics printed in the inserts. The EMI box was the first time the CDs were remastered in Australia.
You've heard all of these songs many times before, but never like this! The greatest names in heavy metal get together and put together a scorching tribute to one of the legendary bands of all time, AC/DC. It's a who's who of heavy metal, some bands, and some individuals together in a group you could only dream about, putting their personal touches on some of rock's all-time classic hits.
Bon Scott , the charismatic and now legendary front man for AC/DC who died on the eve of superstardom and who left a incredible musical legacy, the man who gave us such memorable quotes as “people ask me if i’m AC or DC, neither I’m the lightning in the middle” is the subject, or catalyst, for this exciting new release. Without alot of hoopla along comes this box set that presents all of the soundboard live recordings that feature Bon Scott on vocals. Since the band was in their formative years and were a touring band they used radio as a means to get their music out to people to be heard, the majority of this set is culled from these radio broadcasts. They are not only among the best in quality but also performance.
This two CD set features the best AC/DC songs performed by Lemmy (Motorhead), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Phil Collen (Def Leppard), John Corabi (Motley Crue), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Jake E. Lee (Ozzy, Badlands) and many others.
This is a unique title, a 3 CD album that shows three different “faces” of everybody´s favorite hard rockers, the immortal AC/DC.
2003 was a big year for AC/DC which included their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to European dates with the Rolling Stones, the band made several high-profile public appearances (including the SARS concert in Toronto for 200,000 people). One run of shows found the band returning to their roots and playing clubs and theaters where fans were treated to sweaty, stripped-down shows and even playing some rarities they hadn't played in years. This DVD show from Munich, Germany was filmed at Circus Krone 2003 and this disc only available on the Deluxe Edition.
