This release is titled as Elizebathan Consort Music, Vol II and we have already savoured the flavours of that previously immensely successful release which reads like a roll-call from the 'greats' of English 16th century music. This time Jordi Savall and his splendid Hesperion XXI have devoted a whole CD to the talents of Anthony Holborne, a rather obscure figure but one who evidently was held in great esteem in those days.
Audiolepsia is an instrumental post-rock band from Barcelona. Emotive melodies, full force moments, amazing and intense atmospheres.
Audiolepsia: "We feel very enthusiastic with our new album Muses. We believe it’s an important step forward for the band in terms of maturity, sound and composition. We’ve tried to add to our signature sound a wider palette of elements, like prog and math sounds, acoustic passages and string arrangements, and we feel proud and confident with the results."
The Tibetan Freedom Concert was the largest rock charity event of 1997, a two-day event held in June that featured many of the biggest names in rock and rap. Appropriately, it was filmed and recorded with the intention of being released later in the year as a charity record. The triple-disc set, The Tibetan Freedom Concert, is the extraordinary document of that weekend, containing one performance apiece from the 36 artists who appeared at the concert.
