In 1985, Miles Davis shocked the music world by moving from Columbia to Warner Bros.. He immediately started working on an album called Perfect Way after a tune by Scritti Politti, later renamed Tutu by producer Tommy LiPuma. When Tutu (a tribute to Desmond Tutu) was released in 1986, it re-ignited Miles Davis’ career, crossing over into the rock and pop markets and winning him two Grammy Awards. A definitive collection of the later part of Miles Davis’ work, lavishly packaged and remastered, from the Warner Bros studio albums Tutu, Amandla and Doo-Bop, the Dingo and Siesta soundtracks, live recordings with Quincy Jones, and the likes of Kenny Garrett, Foley and Adam Holzman.

Old folkie that he is, Neil Young harbors a soft spot for songs as protest, and The Monsanto Years is full of them. Where he often railed against war, here the purported target is the agricultural company Monsanto, a firm that, among other things, specializes in genetically modified crops, but Young uses that as a pivot to rage against all manner of modern outrages. Apathy among the populace, avarice among corporations, and cultural homogenization provide the throughline on The Monsanto Years, and while the weathered hippie takes some time to lay down his electric guitar and breathe, this isn't a mournful album like Living with War, his W-era missive.

So it has been with Batman and his partner in crime, Robin for seventy-five years. The Boy Wonder’s spunk and color balance against the Caped Crusader’s seriousness and gloom to create a perfect partnership, a Dynamic Duo. Though Batman has always needed a Robin, it hasn’t always been the same Robin. Many different crimefighters have taken up the name and costume, from jovial Dick Grayson to calculating Tim Drake to violent Damian Wayne. Each left his or her mark on the character, and today the Boy Wonder almost as recognizable and beloved as the Dark Knight himself. Collecting stories from Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Carrie Kelley, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, Damian Wayne and more, ROBIN THE BOY WONDER: A CELEBRATION OF 75 YEARS compiles the best moments from seven decades of the Dynamic Duo. It includes Robin’s first appearance by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, as well as tales from industry legends Jim Mooney, Sheldon Moldoff, Frank Miller, Chuck Dixon, Jeph Loeb, Marv Wolfman, Geoge Pérez, Jim Aparo, Grant Morrison, Andy Kubert and more.
