MPLS and VPN Architectures by Jim Guichard
Cisco Press | May 15 2002 | ISBN: 1587050811 | Pages: 512 | PDF | 8.64 MB

Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) is an innovative technique for high-performance packet forwarding. The most widely deployed usage of MPLS today is the enabling of VPNs. With the introduction of MPLS-enabled VPNs, network designers can better scale their networks than ever before.
MPLS and VPN Architectures, CCIP Edition, is a practical guide to understanding, designing, and deploying MPLS-based VPNs. This book covers MPLS theory and configuration, network design issues, and one major MPLS application: MPLS-based VPNs. The MPLS/VPN architecture and all its mechanisms are explained with configuration examples, suggested design and deployment guidelines, and extensive case studies.

CIERSCOD for MPLS is a self-paced learning resource comprised of video on demand modules, spot the issues quizzes. Totally nearly 90 minutes of content, each VoD attempts to address a specific aspect or technology related to the general subject of MPLS Layer 3 VPN's using the Cisco IOS. Each VoD provides the effect of looking over the shoulder of an expert as he explains how MPLS Layer 3 VPN's operate and how to deploy MPLS using the Cisco IOS while the expert actually enters in the exact Cisco configuration and verification commands related to deploying MPLS Layer 3 VPN's.

MPLS Enabled Applications Emerging Developments and New Technologies Oct 2005

MPLS holds the key to network convergence "Here at last is a single, all-encompassing resource where the myriad applications sharpen into a comprehensible text." Kireeti Kompella, Juniper Fellow, Juniper Networks "This should be the textbook for MPLS courses, both for training of experienced networking professionals and for universities." Loa Andersson, Acreo AB, IAB-member and IETF MPLS working group co-chair "MPLS-Enabled Applications is a must-read for anyone involved in enterprise or service-provider networks." Dave Cooper, Sr. Manager IP Engineering, Global Crossing, Ltd. The capability of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) to identify traffic based on its label at forwarding time, coupled with its ability to force traffic down pre-established paths, has created a whole range of new applications while enabling scaling of existing applications. To highlight the emerging developments, Ina Minei and Julian Lucek cover traffic engineering, L3VPNs (Layer 3 Virtual Private Networks), pseudowires, VPLS (Virtual Private LAN Service), and much more. They methodically illustrate how MPLS holds the key to network convergence by allowing operators to offer more services over a single physical infrastructure and how it can reduce the cost of the network by streamlining operations. With over a hundred illustrations and thirteen in-depth chapters MPLS-Enabled Applications documents why MPLS is now considered the networking technology for carrying all types of network traffic, including voice telephony, real-time video, and the many types of data traffic. MPLS-Enabled Applications : Provides an authoritative, comprehensive overview of the current status and future potential of MPLS applications, including the latest IETF drafts. Examines all the major applications, including L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS and pseudowires. Explains how to apply MPLS and tailor it to fit specific scenarios. Examines the scaling requirements of equipment at different points in the network under different deployment scenarios. Offers inclusive coverage of point-to-multipoint label switched paths, DiffServ-aware traffic engineering and QoS, inter-domain traffic engineering and path computation elements, route target filtering, and the latest developments in multicast support for L3VPNs. Covers the management and troubleshooting of MPLS networks and associated services, to enable high availability. MPLS-Enabled Applications will provide those involved in the design and deployment of MPLS systems, as well as those researching the area of MPLS networks, with a thoroughly modern view of how MPLS is transforming the networking world.

Reissue with the latest 2015 remastering. Comes with liner notes. One of the hippest, hardest albums that trombonist JJ Johnson ever cut for Columbia – a session we'd rank right up there with his amazing JJ Inc record, and like that one a really cooking hardbop record that maybe even rivals the best on Blue Note and Prestige at the time! As with that gem, the strength here is really the group – not just tremendous trombone from JJ, but great work from Nat Adderley on trumpet, Bobby Jaspar on tenor and flute, Cedar Walton on piano, Spanky DeBrest on bass, and Albert Heath on drums – all working with a soaring, soulful energy that's a lot more hardbop heavy than you might expect from JJ Johnson on some of his other projects for the label.

Blues, Rock‘n’Roll and all that Jazz: a musical autobiography that represents a fascinating cross-section from the glittering career and from the passionate life of producer Siggi Loch - for his 75th birthday. Right at the start of his career, he had the dream of running his own jazz label, and he has now fulfilled that dream. ACT has been voted label of the year four times in a row at the German ECHO awards, and in 2015 alone, its artists and releases garnered eight ECHOs: the label has achieved international renown. However this CD collection is a snapshot of where things are, a provisional taking of stock to mark and to celebrate Siggi Loch's 75th birthday.

The Blues Overdrive, European Blues Awards 2015 Winners, for the years best blues album, "Clinch". “On this album we have tried to cut to the chase and get the sound as minimalistic as possible. It’s about getting into the core of the songs. We tease other genres and use fragments from tunes of old masters like Lightnin’ Hopkins and Robert Jr. Lockwood. That way we can keep within the blues tradition, but without it becoming a museum act or irrelevant in 2015.” “In blues circles too often there is too much focus on long solos and too little about the overall presentation of the songs! We are trying to avoid this the best we can!“ –Martin Olsen, Blues Overdrive
