Fish On Friday is a Belgian duo consisting of William Beckers (keyboards) and Frank Van Bogaert (keyboards, vocals). With guest musicians they recorded in 2010 the well-received debut album Shoot The Moon. Great melodic symphonic neo-prog from Belgium. Pink Floyd and Moody Blues meets Alan Parsons Project and Phideaux. Beautiful harmony vocals (Frank's voice is reminiscent of David Gilmour), and great symphonic songs.

Millenium is a Polish five-piece neo-progressive band with Polish vocals on their 1st album and English vocals dominating after their 2nd production, generally in the Pendragon and early MarIllion styles but also with some spices of Pink Floyd and classical Genesis. There are influences of older Polish bands like Collage (as you can in every Polish neo-prog band). "Reincarnations" is Millenium's third album.

For most intents and purposes, Sugarloaf was finished after their 1973 album I Got a Song failed to generate any attention, but the band continued to push ahead, channeling their frustrations into the bubblegum sarcasm of “Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You.” The song became a fluke hit in 1975, prompting a re-release of I Got a Song under a new title borrowed from the hit, which also was prominently featured on the new release. Of course, the fizzy pop of “Don’t Call Us” sounded very little like the rest of the earlier record, which itself wasn’t all that reminiscent of their percolating 1970 hit “Green Eyed Lady,” either. It was a curious mix of pompous neo-prog – best heard on the charging instrumental “Myra, Myra” – light hippie funk, and coolly trippy soft rock, all sounds redolent of the early ‘70s, but certainly not the epitome of it. Which isn’t to say that lead singer/songwriter Jerry Corbetta couldn’t write – in addition to the hits, he knocked off Billy Joel/Elton John’s Western fantasia quite well on “Colorado Jones” – but this album tends to drift in and out of focus, making it a period piece but not much more. [Fuel 2000’s 2010 reissue added a host of worthwhile bonus tracks, including a live version of “Green Eyed Lady.”]

To find the roots of a "modest" band called THE LENS, we have to go back to 1976, when guitarist Mike Holmes, Peter Nicholls (vocals) and Niall Hayden (drums) met when according to the urban myth, searching for a GENESIS ticket, so they decide to form a band called THE GILN almost out of nothing. They soon recruit bass player Rob Thompson and keyboardist Peter Blackler and changed the name to THE LENS. They start to play in small venues. Really this was an amateur attempt, to the point that Niall Hayden often was replaced by Brian Marshall, or when the two were together, both played, something similar happened with Peter Nichol's position…

IQ's last studio album 'Frequency' was a corker in no small measure thanks to the dynamic and powerfull drumming of Andy Edwards. However he left and original drummer Paul Cook returned.'Cookie' had retired from music to concentrate on his farm in Scotland so I presume he must have missed his old mates and answered the call to fill the drum stool.

Ghiribizzi is the name of a Belgian prog band which was founded by Frank Centauri, Dario Frodo and Yves Simmah. After the release of the debut album in 2001, 3 musicians were added to the line-up which included 3 keyboard players from then on. A lot of interesting keyboard parts can be spotted in their atmospheric sound. The vocals are both theatrical and powerful, sometimes reminiscent to the beginning years of both Marillion and Kayak, the excellent vocal harmonies are sometimes quite similar to Queen…

Written between 2006-2008 and recorded in 2008 in the famous Belgian ACE Studio (Ghiribizi, Mindgames) with equally famous keyboard player-producer Frank van Bogaert (Ohm, Fish on Friday) and the original line-up, this first full CD was released early 2009 on the own WAMP-label. The full CD immediately got a lot of attention and positive feedback in the worldwide specialized press, some songs appeared on samplers and lead to some interesting live gigs. The typical Neo-sound became more distinct and while still having some Classic Rock roots the sound got typically labelled as Symfo or Neo-Prog…

Recorded live at the Bucklein Theatre, Krakow, Poland, October 14th 1995 and at the Hall of TV in Krakow, Poland, 11th October 1995. On the 25th of April 1958 there's a great singer born in Edinburgh: Derek William Dick (FISH). Because he finds it very nice to lie in the bath for hours, with his rubber duck, he gets this nickname from his friends: FISH. Later Derek shall use this name as his artists name. Derek grows up in the little village Dalkeith, where his parents have a garage. He's in school there, where he has a easy time, and has good results. Derek too is a fan of THE BEATLES in that period, and he wants to learn to play an instrument. But he never gets beyond playing a tennis racket in front of the mirror. The first single he buys is "Lola" of THE KINKS.
